('이노센스' 는 정말로 결백한가?)

· Australia has been free from mad cow disease since it first emerged in UK.

(최초 광우병이 영국에서 발병한 이후에도, 호주는 광우병으로부터 안전했다)

· Australia has been fed cows with feed that contains vaccine – “innocence” since 2002. The vaccine is produced by International Pharmaceutical Laboratories Australia (IPLA).

(호주는 2002년부터 '이노센스' 라 이름 붙여진 백신이 포함된 사료를 먹여왔다. 이 백신은 IPLA라는 제약 회사에 의해 개발 되었다.

· The use of the vaccine is an enforcement measure of Australian government, so its penetration rate of the vaccine is 100%.

(백신의 사용은 정부에 의해 강제 시행 되었으며, 보급률은 100% 이다)

· The vaccine “innocence” wasn’t assessed by the medical research council (UK) because the lack of necessary information, so that the vaccine wasn’t exported to any other country. MRC also suggested Australian government to stop using the vaccine until it was proved safe.

(이노센스는 자료 불충분을 이유로 MRC 로부터 승인받지 못했고 백신은 호주 외부로 수출되지 못했다. 또한 MRC는 호주 정부에게 백신의 안정성이 증명될때까지 사용을 중단할것을 요청했다)

· Australian government has kept using the vaccine.

(호주 정부는 지속적으로 백신을 투여해 왔다)
a. Australia is the second largest supplier of beef in the world. The export quota is around 4 billion each year (live cattle trade is not included).

(호주는 세계 2위 규모의 쇠고기 공급 국가이며 매년 40억 quota를 수출한다. (살아있는 가축의 수출량은 제외))

b. The fact that Australia is mad cow disease free is very important for maintaining the high export quota.

(호주가 광우병 으로부터 안전하다는 사실은 이러한 수출 규모를 유지하는데 매우 중요하게 작용한다)


3. The fatal side effects of “innocence” and “T.M.O”

(이노센스와 T.M.O의 치명적인 부작용)

· Cases: people had weird behaviour and one of them suicided.

(케이스: 일부의 사람들이 이상항 행동패턴을 보였으며, 그중 한명은 자살했다)

a. The family of the victim is suspicious of the suicide, so police involved in.

(피해자의 가족들은 피해자의 자살에 의구심을 가졌으며 경찰이 개입 되었다)

b. After dissection of the suicide body, they found no clue.

(사체 검시후 경찰은 어떠한 증거도 찾아내지 못했다)

c. Police did research on the weird behaviour before that person suicide, and found 13 similar cases in different area of Australia.

(경찰은 피해자가 자살하기 이전부터 그 이상한 행동패턴에 대해 조사하고 있었으며, 호주 전역에서 13개의 비슷한 케이스를 찾아냈다)

d. Scientists found out that all the people who have those weird behaviours all felt dizzy, depressive and 95% of them became colour blind.

(이 케이스에 해당하는 모든 사람들이 어지러움, 우울증 증세를 보였으며 95%의 사람들은 색맹이 되었다)

e. Australian doctors and scientist couldn’t find any solution for this mysterious disease. They asked help from other part of the world.

(호주의 의사와 과학자들은 아무런 해결책을 찾지 못했다. 그들은 다른 국가와 단체에 도움을 요청했다)

f. Other countries didn’t have similar patient at all – this disease only existed in Australia. After doing large amount of further research, Australia Scientist only found some similar symptoms occurred on cows in UK back in 1999, and these symptoms were caused by some side effects when these cows were taking a test for a vaccine against Mad Cow disease.

(다른 국가에서는 비슷한 사례가 보고되지 않았다. 위 질병은 오직 호주에서만 존재한다 (아직까지는). 연구 끝에 과학자들은 1999년 광우병이 영국에서 퍼져나갈 당시 일부 감염된 소들에게서 이와 비슷한 증상이 나타났음을 밝혀냈으며, 당시 이 소들이 어떠한 종류의 광우병 백신 테스트에 사용되고 있었음을 알게 되었다)

g. Australia Scientist contacted medical research council, and MRC helped to investigate the information of the vaccine developed by UK scientist in 1999.

(과학자들과 MRC는 1999년 영국에서 실험 되었던 백신의 정체를 밝히기 위해 힘을 모았다)


h. The vaccine was called 'Troy Mark One (T.M.O)'. It was first considered as an effective vaccine for cows since it was based on Nanotechnology. But when it was tested on cows, people found some serious side effects – The chemicals of the vaccine were very hard to metabolize, the aggradation of the chemicals could block cow’s blood vessel. Consider there might be a chance for human to get the same effect by eating beef from cows which had that fatal side effect, the further research of T.M.O was banned by U.K government. Mad Cow disease remained as an incurable disease, UK and US government just killed all infected cows.

(당시 백신은 '트로이 마크 원 (T.M.O)' 이라 불리었으며, 나노 기술에 기반한 새로운 광우병 백신 이었다. 그러나 실제 소에게 테스트 한 결과 매우 위험한 부작용이 나타났다 - 백신에 함유된 성분들은 체내에서 대사되지 않았으며 결과적으로 혈관에 뭉쳐 혈류의 흐름을 막아버렸다. 만약 인간이 이 백신을 투여한 소를 섭취할 경우 같은 부작용이 나타날수 있기 때문에 더이상의 개발은 진행되지 않았다. 광우병은 불치의 병으로 남아있게 되었으며 영국과 미국이 할수있는 일은 감염된 소들을 죽이는것 뿐이었다)

아래는 인간 광우병 크로이펠츠 야콥병에 대한 설명.

(In humans, Mad Cow Disease is known as a new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD or nCJD). The following is an experimental treatment for vCJD. The treatment is still in human testing stage. So I think this treatment can be a good reference for us to make the theory of T.M.O as they both are not well developed. The theory should be professional, and convincible, and should generally make sense in science and chemistry…)

An experimental treatment was given to a Northern Irish teenager, Jonathan Simms, beginning in January 2003. The medication, called pentosan polysulphate(PPS) and used to treat interstitial cystitis, is infused into the patient's lateral ventricle within the brain. PPS does not seem to stop the disease from progressing, and both brain function and tissue continue to be lost. However, the treatment is alleged to slow the progression of the otherwise untreatable disease, and may have contributed to the longer than expected survival of the seven patients that were studied. The CJD Therapy Advisory Group to the UK Health Departments advises that data are not sufficient to support claims that PPS is an effective treatment and suggests that further research in animal models is appropriate. A 2007 review of the treatment of 26 patients with PPS finds no proof of efficacy because of the lack of accepted objective criteria.

i. Medical Research Council also disclosed the similarity of “T.M.O” and “Innocence”. They believe there might be some relevancies between these two vaccines.

j. Australian police interrogated the Chairman & Managing Director of International Pharmaceutical Laboratories Australia - the company that produced and sold “Innocence”. Rajiv Manchanda refused to be responsible for any charge of the fatal side effects of “Innocence”, and insisted that the vaccine was 100% safe.

(호주 경찰은 이노센스를 개발하고 판매한 IPLA의 대표 라지브 만찬다를 조사했으나 그는 이노센스로 인한 어떠한 부작용에도 책임이 없으며, 백신은 100% 안전하다고 밝혔다)

k. However, after examining the vaccine, scientist proofed that the “Innocence” was harmful for human body. And those patients’ weird behaviours and the suicide case were actually caused by eating beef that contains the vaccine “Innocence”.

(그러나 백신을 조사한 과학자들은 이노센스가 인체에 대단히 치명적임을 증명했다. 일부 사람들이 보인 이상 증세와 극단적인 자살의 경우도 이 백신을 투여받은 쇠고기를 먹고 발생한 것임이 입증 되었다)

l. An anonymous letter reports that Rajiv Manchanda’s illegality. In 2002, he greased the palm of a UK scientist who once was in the “T.M.O” develop team, and bought the formula and all the research document of “T.M.O”.

(익명의 제보에 의하면 라지브는 유죄이다. 2002년 그는 T.M.O 개발에 참여했던 영국 과학자중 한명을 포섭하여 관련 자료 일체를 구입했다)

m. Rajiv came to Australia, founded the IPLA company, then start to research on “Innocence”.

(이후 라지브는 호주에 왔고, IPLA를 설립한후 이노센스의 개발에 착수했다)

n. Rajiv and his staff changed the formula of “T.M.O” a little bit, the original side effect seemed to be overcome, but they didn’t do plenty of examination to test if there are new side effects.

(라지브와 회사 연구원들은 기존 T.M.O의 공식을 약간 바꾸어 기존에 T.M.O가 갖고있던 부작용을 없앴다. 그러나 또다른 부작용이 발생할 가능성에 대해서는 더이상 연구하지 않았다)

· Why Australia started to use “Innocence” nationwide without strict proof-test for health issue.

(왜 호주 정부는 엄격한 규제와 테스트 없이 곧바로 이노센스를 사용하기 시작했는가)

a. Rajiv promoted his “new” vaccine to Australian government, and the government was quite interested and willing to buy the vaccine.

(라지브가 최초 이노센스를 호주 정부에 선보일 당시 정부는 매우 흥미로워 했으며 구입을 희망했다)

b. The anonymous letter also said, Rajiv offered some bribes to senator Harrold von Zuid – the head of Faction of Health and Agriculture (FHA) to “make things easier”...

(익명의 제보에 의하면 라지브는 FHA의 대의원인 해럴드 본 주이드에게 뇌물을 주었다고 한다)

4. “Innocence” now was proofed not safe for human health. Eating beef that contains this vaccine might get many serious side effects, including feeling dizzy, depression, loosing vision, becoming colour-blind, and some people would even kill themselves. For Australia, the vaccine itself is even more harmful than Mad Cow Disease itself.

(이노센스는 인체에 해롭다는 것이 증명 되었다. 백신이 함유된 쇠고기를 섭취하면 어지러움, 우울증, 시력 저하, 색맹 등의 부작용과 심지어 자살에까지 이르르게 할수 있다. 호주에게 있어서는 백신 그 자체가 광우병보다 더욱 무서울수 있다)

 

아직 완성되지 않은 일부 article을 끌어 왔으며, 위의 내용은 다음주 (한국시간 5월 13일 이후) 중 BSN 뉴스와 Our Current Affair 를 통해 공식적으로 다뤄질 예정이다. 간략하게 정리하자면

 

1. 호주 정부는 2002년부터 이노센스라고 불리우는 광우병 예방, 치료 백신을 호주내의 모든 소에게 투여해 왔고

 

2. 연구 결과 이노센스가 인체에 치명적인 부작용을 줄수 있음이 증명 되었으며 현재 호주에는 13건의 사례가 보고 되었다 (1명 자살, 이노센스로 인한 극심한 우울증이 원인)

 

3. 2002년 이후 도축되어 가공된 모든 호주산 쇠고기에는 이노센스의 성분이 포함되어 있을수 있으며, 이중 일부는 수출 되었을수 있다. 해외에서 유사 사례가 보고되지 않은것은 증상의 원인이 호주산 쇠고기임을 착안하지 못했기 때문이며, 실제로 알려지지 않은 사례는 더욱 많을 것으로 추정 된다.
